Actor-director Rishab Shetty’s recently released Kannada action thriller Kantara has taken the nation by storm. Having scored 9.4 on IMDb, Kantara has surpassed the likes of SS Rajamouli’s RRR (8) and Yash-starrer K.G.F: Chapter 2 (8.4), to emerge as one of the highest-rated South films of 2022 on IMDb. Set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, the plot of the action thriller focuses on a rebellion named Shiva and his fight to reinstate peace in the village.
