Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files was one of the most successful films of 2022. Owing to the stupendous success of the movie, the film recently got as many as seven nominations in different categories at an award show. However, the filmmaker has politely refused to be a part of the ‘unethical and anti-cinema’ awards. The director mentioned a few reasons he refused to be a part of the same. Vivek penned a long note slamming the award show.

Vivek Agnihotri took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “I learnt from media that The Kashmir Files is nominated in 7 categories for the 68th Filmfare Awards. But I politely refuse to be part of these unethical and anti-cinema awards. Here is why (sic).”
